“Alex joined Happy Days Montessori Children’s House on 22nd May 2017. Since his arrival he has become very popular with the children. They look forward to his visit and on seeing him at the door they greet him with great anticipation of the instruments he will bring with him.
As the Montessori approach to learning is a holistic approach focusing on the needs and interests of the individual child his approach fits perfectly with our method of learning.
Not only does he encourage the children’s participation through his map of the world and the exciting instruments from around the world, he also supports children with special needs to participate by using a variety of sounds. Children who would normally not join a group are now participating in Alex’s musical sessions. He is very respectful in the environment and with the children and endeavours to include all the children in the global musical session.
